Bryce at the beach

Thanks to boots and coats, we had a great time at the beach. Bryce and Brent were in the water immediately...at least the stream water. They stayed out of the ocean. I've done too much reading on rip tides lately!!

Recent Bryce comment: "Mom, when can I date a woman?"

"Mom, can a bullet go thru titanium?"

I asked Dr. Yakovlevitch this question and he gave the same reply as me..."depends on how thick the titanium!"

How to Bird Watch

It's essential when bird watching that you have two things:

a good pair of binoculars
a delicious cookie for sustenance

And having an experienced bird-watching aunt doesn't hurt either!

Bryce and his father, 2005 photo

This is my dad's dad. My grandpa.
He died last summer and he was a mechanic.
I wonder if his job was difficult. I don't know.
I liked my grandpa because we would always stop by sometimes to see him at the nursing home. I wish my grandpa could stay longer.
Well, see you later,
Bryce

Practice, Practice, Practice to get that perfect photo!

He may have opened his mouth for photos in the past, but with years of practice, he is now a pro at posing for photos! Here is Bryce at Buck Lake, October 2007.! :)

Bryce smiling

This always cracks me up! This photo was taken July 2002 and it is very typically Bryce at this age. Whenever we tried to take his picture, he'd open his mouth wide. I'm not sure why. It wasn't at all like a smile (except his eyes twinkled). And I remember the little protrusion on his forehead like he'd bumped it somehow. But I will always rememember him "smiling" with his mouth open wide.

helping dad....

Helping sort pennies into groups of ten- to be put into the paper sleeves---but ultimately to help buy chickens.
(note the spideman pj's that Grandma made!)

The Burden of being Cute (12/06)

After spending Christmas in Neskowin we came back just in front of a huge storm and the power went out for 3 days. Brrrrr. So everyone was dressed warmly and here was one such fellow. He had a scarf pulled over his head once and he growled fiercely at me "No one better say I'm CUTE!!"

It is a heavy burden to bear when you're cute, isn't it Bryce?

Something is falling out....

Oh, goodness gracious! Something is falling OUT of Bryce's mouth. If it falls on the ground then we'll have to put in in the dishwasher to get it really clean.

Be careful, Bryce!

Bryce growing up

You are right, Bryce! You are growing up---look at these old photos of you flying the kite---I was really afraid the kite was going to lift you off the ground!

Bryce in heelies

Thanks, Aunt Bev, for these heelies. I really like them. Now since I'm growing up, I might grow out of them and have to give them to Goodwill. I don't know. Anyways...I'm just growing up and I have a lot of stuff.
See you later, Aunt Bev!

Bryce and his Christmas gift from Grandma

I had two more photos to share with Bryce's blog-site that are important! This is the photo of Bryce after he opened his Christmas gift from Grandma. He had been hinting at every chance he could get that this is the present that he wanted for Christmas and Grandma really delivered on his dream. (It is some kind of chess set ---maybe we can get a close-up photo of the characters sometime?) Anyway, it was really a hit and he had to run over and give Grandma a big hug-thank-you.
So, in addition to adventure and being with family and going to the coast----he also likes playing games (and chess) and he is always so sweet to say thank you!

Bryce March 3, 2006

March 3, 2006

Bryce at Pittock Mansion.

I forget why he wears glasses. Hmmm...is it that he can't see close up or is it he can't see far away. Well, whatever...he looks cute in glasses.

(Is it OK if I tell an 8 year old that he's cute? Is that not cool?)

Bryce upside down

Sometimes I can maybe get stuck with my dad. This happened when I went on a trip with my family. Just my mom, my brother and my sisters and my dad. My dad asked me something, and I said, "Sure." And then he picked me up and put me upside down and An-na took this picture.
I like my dad. He's cool. I glad I have parents.
from Bryce, to anybody.

Bryce has many talents

In addition to liking adventures, my nephew also likes legos, swimming, chess, and even baking. This was taken in the summer of 2006 and he made these for a church baking competition. He did not win a prize, but ALL of his bars were completely gone. 2 plates of bars completely eaten. So he is a terrific baker.

Bryce's first blog!

My name is Bryce. I like to go on adventures. I am eight years old. I like to go to the Space Needle. I like to go at the beach. And...I like spending time with my family. See you later!
